The American Academy’s Hollywood campus was constructed on the south lot of what used to be Charlie Chaplin’s studios. The location is perfect for students who are aspiring to excel in dramatic arts as the school is within close proximity to all the major tv and film studios.

The academy has a 150 seat proscenium theatre, rehearsal space, studios for camera technique, acting vocal production and a shop that provides costumes and props. The library houses reference materials, a computer lab, a collection of audiovisual materials and other resources that explore every aspect of theatre so the needs of performers who are pursuing acting certificate and degree programs can be met.

An audition is part of the application process along with completed transcripts, personal essay and letters of recommendation. During the audition, faculty members look for committed applicants who have a passion for acting, vocal audibility, have the ability to cold read as well as emotional connection to the piece being presented and general preparedness. For only $29,900 a year, you can become a part of the most exciting and creative community in the country where you have the opportunity to be introduced to the entertainment capital of the world.
