DePaul is a private university that was founded by the Vincentians in 1898 and is located in Chicago, Illinois. The name was derived from the 17th century French priest Saint Vincent de Paul. Students have the option to enroll for either BFA or MFA acting courses.
Application is basically a two part process that comprises of the submission of application materials along with an audition or interview. Auditions are mandatory so every applicant must complete this procedure tin order to be considered. Applications are only accepted for entry into the fall quarter of each academic year and are generally accepted from September through January for entry the following fall.
Tuition is roughly $35,470 per year for full time students. All applicants that have successfully completed the process is automatically considered for talent and academic scholarships at DePaul without having to endure another interview or audition. Academic scholarships require a high school grade point average of at least 3.5 and either an ACT score of 27 or an SAT score of 1220.
These considerations only apply to scores are the combined critical reading and math sub scores only. Scholarships range from $2,000 to $15,000 and are automatically renewable for up to four year if the student’s performance is consistent.
