Since 1867, The Boston Conservatory has been a place where students come to train, hone their craft, and realize their true potential. The Boston Conservatory’s graduates go on to a variety of paths: dance companies, Broadway productions, TV, film and prestigious opera companies, orchestras and ensembles.
Located at 8 The Fenway in Boston, MA, The Conservatory charges $40, 150 annually for full time degree students.
Admission requires the submission of documentation such as high school transcripts for all freshman and transfer applicants who have not yet done two years at college. Two letters of recommendation are also required, one of which should be an individual who knows you from an academic stance while the other should be done by someone who can vouch for your artistic abilities. An audition should be conducted by all applicants who are encouraged to do so in person.
The Boston Conservatory recognizes, however, that travel can be costly and offers alternatives in the form of regional and recorded auditions, but these are only applicable for certain majors. A non-refundable fee of $110 should be paid online to encouraged timely processing of applications. Those sent in the mail may lead to a delay in the processing of application forms.
