The American Academy of Dramatic Arts has a campus in New York on Madison Avenue in a six story landmark building designed by Stanford White. The building boasts three theatres which are proscenium, arena style and thrust with 169, 103 and 169 seats respectively.
There are also other resources available such as a library, prop department and a luxurious student lounge. Evaluations are conducted periodically in the form of performance projects and scenery, and outstanding students receive an invitation to become a part of the Academy Company.

The cost to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts is $29,900 annually. Applicants must have a high school diploma or successfully completed a GED program, along with a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).
Fist year applicants are screened based on academic qualification, dramatic skills and potential, maturity and level of motivation. Students can only advance to second year if they receive an invitation to pursue advanced studies.
