Appalachian State University’s main campus is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in a town called Boone. With 21 residence halls available, there is more than enough room to accommodate both aspiring and current students in a comfortable environment. Criteria for admission include auditions, letters of recommendation and transcripts. After successful enrollment into the university, core curriculum has to be completed and students are required to meet with an advisor one per semester. Students who live in the state are looking at $6,462 per annum while tuition for out of state students is roughly $18,670.
