Otterbein University is a private, four-year liberal arts college in Westerville, Ohio that was started in 1847. Otterbein University’s theatre and dance program provides a select number of undergraduate students with the training, education and experience necessary to pursue careers in the American professional theatre.
Students who enroll have access to the supportive professional environment necessary for the continued growth and development of our students. Courses include BFA in Acting, Musical Theatre, BA Theatre and Dance Minor. Tuition is approximately $30,658 annually.
All students interested in applying for the B.F.A. degree in Acting must submit a pre-screening video audition prior to admission to the University. Admission to the program is by formal audition and invitation only and the number of available places is limited to four men and four women.
The theatre programs are designed to prepare students for careers in professional theatre, the B.F.A. in Acting is a four-year sequence of courses in acting, voice, movement and dance. Coursework is augmented with a wide variety of public performances to provide students experience in different theatrical styles. Admission to Otterbein requires and application form, high school transcript and letters of recommendation.
