Catholic University of America (CUA) is a private university that is located in Washington, D.C. It is the only institution of higher education founded by the U.S. Catholic Bishops and both undergraduate and graduate programs are offered.

The school stresses that theatre is a fundamental cultural necessity which enriches the community in which it is situated. The creative, collaborative nature of our work and familiarity with the dynamic interface between theatre and the real world form a first rate foundation for a future in almost any field in the entertainment industry.

Stage productions are held each semester and range from Broadway to plays. There is also a Symphony Orchestra, choral groups and Acapella groups. The Catholic University of America is named “A Best in the Northeast” by the Princeton Review and is one of the most environmentally conscious universities in the United States.

There is a 63.2% acceptance rate and the tuition is $36,320 annually. Scholarships and financial aid are available to qualified students as the university aims to assist as many students as possible with their aspirations. The environment is always a friendly one so students will meet friends from various backgrounds who simply come together in one location to study theatre and production.
